Making an In Memoriam donation at the passing of a relative or friend is a special way for family and friends to show their respect.

We can assist families by suggesting wording for funeral notices and providing personalised donation forms (online or print) and reply paid envelopes.

All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible, and all receive a receipt and thank you letter. You will also be provided a list of names of those who donated.

Donations can be directed to an area of student support or UniSA research of your choice, or can be used towards creating a lasting memory as part of our Great Hall campaign.

For further information on making a tribute gift or to arrange delivery of donation forms and envelopes, please talk to your funeral director or contact Zoe Gray on telephone +61 8 8302 7630.

Ian D. McLachlan Memorial Grant

Ian D. McLachlanThe Ian D. McLachlan Memorial Grant was established as a result of in memoriam fundraising undertaken following the death of Ian McLachlan. The grant recognises the important and generous contribution that Ian made to the University over a number of years as a Council member, member of the University Finance Committee, Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and as a Director of ITEK Pty Ltd (the University of South Australia's commercial arm).

Ian himself received a scholarship to commence study at university and this experience shaped the remainder of his life. Ian always valued and acknowledged the difference that initial support made to his life and the University of South Australia is proud it can continue to recognise his commitment to opening doors for others.

The grant, valued at $5,000, is open to final year, full-time Bachelor of Commerce students. One grant will be awarded every year to a financially disadvantaged student who couples academic excellence with a determination to pursue a career in an industry to which Ian dedicated his life.
